Small envelope with the following written in ink and longhand on front of envelope: " 2 " Nardo seeds taken from poor Burke's pocket"--Burke was an Australian Explorer in the Fifties - who was lost & died from starvation- a statue is erected in his memory at Melbourne- these seeds were given " Aunt Libbie" by a government official when she was visting Niece in 1864." Seeds are wrapped in a small piece of reused blue writing paper.
